All articles published in Himalayan Society are made freely and permanently available online immediately upon publication, without subscription charges or registration barriers. As authors of articles published in Himalayan Society, you are the copyright holders of your article and grant to any third party, in advance and in perpetuity, the right to use, reproduce or disseminate your article. Article Processing Charges (APC)

Authors who publish in Himalayan Society are required to pay an article processing charge (APC). For the smooth publishing operations, a minimum APC is required from authors upon selecting their article for final publication.

The current APC, subject to local taxes where applicable, is: 10,000 pkr or 40 US$.

 

Creative Commons Licenses

All article in Himalayan Society is published under Creative Commons licenses. These provide an industry-standard framework to support easy re-use of open access material. Under Creative Commons licenses, authors retain copyright of their articles.

Himalayan Society articles are published open access under a CC BY license (Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license). The CC BY license is the most open license available and is considered the industry 'gold standard' for open access; it is also preferred by many funders. This license allows readers to copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format, and to alter, transform, or build upon the material, including for commercial use, providing the original author is credited.
